The most frequently asked question this month was regarding board meetings. Teachers are not contractually required to attend School Board Meetings. They are not contractually obiligated to present a topic at a School Board Meeting.

April 2008--The most frequently asked question in the past month was regarding workshops that are held outside of school hours that are not required by contract. The actual question was do I have to attend the workshops? The answer is NO. You may go if you choose to, but if you wish to be compensated in some way for after school hours you should contact your the union to see what compensation can be bargained for your attendance.
